In Hawaii we don’t have a typical Fall season so we have some fun traditions we have been doing to make our home feel more festive. I hope you enjoy this banana bread recipe, it’s a mix of various recipes we have tried 🙂
*although we accidentally dumped in the entire bag of chocolate chips, I guess that what happens when you let the kids take turns adding chocolate chips. I recommend sticking to the recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
3 ripe bananas, smashed
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS :
First preheat the oven to 350 degrees F, lightly spray bread pan with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
Next smash the bananas in a mixing bowl then add butter and stir.
Then stir in the sugar, egg, and vanilla. Add in the flour, baking soda and salt, stir together with a spatula.
Last (and best!), mix in the chocolate chips then pour batter into the loaf pan and bake for 50-55 minutes (you can check by sticking toothpick in the middle and if it comes out clean it’s done).
Make sure the bread to cool in the pan before slicing. Enjoy!
